Sakāma and Niṣkāma Upāsana (mantra and effects)
Sakāma and Niṣkāma Upāsana (mantra and effects) – Sakāma/Desire based, Niṣkāma/No desire. If you are doing upāsana or chanting because you are suffering from some dasa or problems, then it is the lowest form of prayer and it requires all paraphernalia and all ritual methods. (95%) of the time this is the reason. If you do not follow utkīlana or dikbandhana etc. or you do not understand parts of mantra then you will suffer from multiple level problems. The puja and mantra bhoga will go to nikṛṣṭa tāmasa powers like brahmarākṣasa etc. They will alter the consciousness to negative outflow. They have tendency to offer you lower fruits like power of intuition, money, a bit of knowledge but their main function is to ruin your life. Even the pundits doing this Pooja, who do not understand the nuances of this Sadhna, have a wretched life.
When you are doing niṣkāma upāsana then you do not need any karmakāṇḍa. That is not even upāsana. That is sheer love. For that, a mere remembrance is upāsana. Reducing the bhava of “I” and creating the consciousness of only one primordial force called “Bhagavatī.” When you remember her from your soul day and night, and at each breath, when you are not you, but her then it is niṣkāma upāsana. You become a crying child asking the mother to pick you up. No candies will bring you pleasure then.
It does not require mantra because mantra carry their own process. It requires love and purity and an ardent desire of Devi’s blessings
