🦜 pooja is done either with desires or with no desires (niṣkāma). The second one is rarest but is less dangerous and is the right way as well.

🦜 Pooja done with desires requires saṃkalpa, nyāsa, dik bandha, Bhutaśuddhi, upacāra, āvāhana and most important the utkīlana beeja should be known. In tantric mantras this includes multiple other processes too which are not an ordinary cup of tea. It also requires clean places like temple and should not be done in house unless been specified by a highly accomplished person.

🦜 When sakāma pooja is done without above, then Gaṇas of ḍevthas, preta, brahmarākṣasa get the bhogā of chanting as they are been blessed by lord Siva himself. They surround the person’s house. They control the native and make him repeat these things everyday as they derive their food from this source. The person can become mentally unstable, paranoid and will suffer from diseases etc. Therefore, mantras or chanting is nothing to be played with.

🦜Niṣkāma upāsana without any paraphernalia is best because it is not bounding on any ḍevthas. Even nāma japa is good in this way but purity should be maintained well. Nama saṃkīrtana is best but should be done in limits inside a house. The invocation of deities in any form is dangerous because purity, chastity is required. The body requires śuddhī otherwise it cannot bear the energy that is been generated by chanting. Visiting properly invoked temples regularly is the best strategy because the temple’s purity is already maintained and there will no dośa. Overdoing any chanting results in multiple issues. Love for God does not mean chanting. Chanting also does not mean remembering God. Pārabrahma can be remembered without any chanting so overdoing usually means sakāma bhava.

🦜Never take mantras from book, tv, gullible looking babas or newspaper advertisements. They will boomerang. Mantras are rare and rare is to be initiated into mantras. All the modern-day initiations are money making gimmicks. One requires too be too lucky to meet a real saint in one life time. Today we can see multiple by switching on TV channels.
