Guru is wisdom, ego, life force, expansion, akasa, growth (with right means) etc. Rāhu is growth (by hook or by crook), ambitiousness, shadowed mind, not following taboo, tantra, hallucination etc.

Please remember that they can combine in 12 signs within 30 degrees, within different pada of nakṣatra and 12 different houses and multiple anśa. This means countless combinations. So do not join the frenzied crowd who keeps asking for results in so and so sign. It hardly matters because analysis requires every combination to be seen at in-depth level.

This is the root system which can give fair idea.

• First understand what each planet controls.
• Then look at the degrees. This is important that Rāhu should not be in front of Guru except in signs 12, 9, 4 where it will have no actual impact.
• The person will prefer larger objects.
• Indicates curse from noble souls because of involvement in tantra mantra in previous incarnation.
• This combination can create weak prana depending on which one is strong.
• It can give you fake guru or a guru who is involved in tantra mantra.
• It will give lofty ideas because both indicate expansion.
• Guru in Kumbha or ṃakar and Rāhu in Gemini with no planet in between and 8^th lord and Moon placed in sthira sign will cause alpāyu yoga. (5^th 6^th year).
• In anśa specially in Ṇavmanśa the same yoga will prove hazardous.
• Rāhu behind guru in rāśi 3, 2, 10 means that person has backlog of bad karma from previous life. Depends on condition of previous signs.
• Women wear large bun, large kundal, large beads and malas etc. Men prefer large watches, large cars etc. However, it can be happen without this combination as well.
• Will not understand sastra.
• Will not follow rituals and will not believe people.
