Can astrology change your faith? -2
First of all thank you very much for sharing your ideas and views on astrology.
In Shrimad Bhagwad, Shree Hari says:
“Yatha Dhenu Sahastreshu Vatso Vindati Maatram,
Tatha poorv kritam karmam kartar Manughachti”
This means that Karmas are like a young calf. You leave the calf in a herd of thousand cows, and still it will find its mother. This is same with Karmas. They will follow you through all your births. No matter how much you hide, no matter how many births you have crossed; they will always find you in the end.
So destiny is nothing but the outcome of Karmas. In certain Nadis, I have seen two separate predictions for a single person. They remark about Karmas and how karmas control destiny. Your Sanchit Karmas are the deeds that you have already performed and heaped during your previous incarnations.
Your prarabdha is that part of Sanchita which is ready to be experienced. Then you have Kriyanvan which you are doing today based on your will.
Sanchita and Prarabhdha are destined and fated. While Kriyanvan and Agam are controlled by your will. It is Kriyanvan and Agam which destine your Prarabhdha or future. So in a way your actions can always control your destiny to some account.
Mantras, yajnas and tantra can definitely minimize the effects of Prarabhdha and Sanchita. But remedies have a locked system. Only your good karmas will make you meet a good astrologer or mantric. Your bad Deeds or Kriyanman will lead you to a crook or thug who will only rob you off your peace, time and money.
Saturn in retrogression, Saturn moon together, Saturn Mars together, Saturn rahu in twelfth house denotes some strong past deeds that can trouble your present lifestyle.
Parivartan yoga between sixth and fifth shows renanubandhan from the side of child.
There is always a link of fifth house and tenth house from several births. There is some links between the ascendants of two partners, when you watch for seventh positions from Gulika or Mandi.
Links between births can be seen through previous planets placed before Jupiter and tenth and fifth house lords. Astrology is very interesting and horoscope requires much deeper involvement and interpretations. Your horoscope is your cosmic address. A true astrologer can always read these cosmic patterns and reveal your present course.

Because I’ve read Pluto offers us the chance to “evolve” and to “rebirth”. Is this true that whatever Pluto is transiting to our charts is our “destiny” to change ourselves for who we are? Doesn’t matter whether is a Square, Opposition, Sextile, Conjunction, or Trine.
BQ (Optional): Is Pluto transiting your chart at this moment? If so, how many? Is it affecting your life?
I am currently frustrated with my present job. I got a better job offer also. But, my company is now ready to give me few benefits.. I am really pretty confused whether to join the new company or stay back.. then, i have seen 2 astrologers.. they were giving different answers!!
So, somebody help me here.. I have given the jataka details below .. Thanx a lot in advance[please only serious answers]..

“Only your good karmas will make you meet a good astrologer or mantric. Your bad Deeds or Kriyanman will lead you to a crook or thug who will only rob you off your peace, time and money”.
How to differentiate between a good astrologer and a thug? This is especially important, because everybody is today after money and I have read on some website ( of a learned man from south india, sri iyengar), that even shastras prohibit, people to make use of astrology as a money-making tool or a profession-business, and shastras condemn and recommend to ostracized people who charge a ‘fee’ for astrological guidance and such people’s guidance or so-called future prediction can never become true and such people will born blind, since astrology is also a cursed vidya, and making use of it as a profession will bring down wrath of god on such people.
So then how can we find true astrologer in today’s modern materialistic world where people if they don’t become successful in any field using their education, become professional astrologers.
Mohit, A very good question.
The first thing we should know is that astrology is a two way process. The goodness of the astrologer is a part, but the seeker should also be clean by heart as well. Answers and only the right answers will be provided to one who asks you the right questions. I have felt that I cannot predict anything for wrong people. Sometimes, I have to humbly request them to leave my office. I am also unable to help people who drink or who have some kind of malice in their hearts.
Secondly, the question of money is matter of private opinion. As far as I am concerned, I have a fixed fee and I may or may not charge it. It depends on how I am guided. If I feel I should not charge, I do not charge anything. There is no such thing that astrology is a cursed science or people who follow it live a cursed life. In fact, any vidya whether it is astrology or anything cannot be cursed as it is a vidya. The expression of divine cannot be cursed in any way, as it is part of divine itself (But this is for a true astrologer). There is no such wrath of God on this as Brahmin within guides you for the same. Those who do not have “Parmansha” inside them suffer.
Lastly, A true and honest astrologer and finding him is also an act of God. You will discover one when the time comes. If you happen to meet somebody before that, nothing will come true as well. That is the very reason, why Nadis express the right time, place and date of inquiry. You should be free of vices before you can seek anyone. The success of prediction is a reflection of your own true self.
Warm Regards,
Alok Jagawat
But how do we differentiate that we have come across a true astrologer? What are the characteristics we shall look for in determining astrologer is good or not so good?
It is the experience of astrologer or the popularity or what? That was my question.
A pretty serious question. There is no way but there are steps;
1. Look at the lifestyle of the astrologer. Is he happy in his life ? Is he humble or proud?. Is he open to all religions or he is adamant about his lineage and caste ?
2. Do not reveal anything about yourself until been asked. A good astrologer will find this out by himself.
3. Do not be carried away by popularity or experience. Experience has nothing to do with age. A sixteen year old can
be more experienced then an old man of eighty.
4. An astrologer should have faith in God, he should be open minded. He should have knowledge about upanishads and modern subjects.
5. He should be carrying a good command over language.
6. He should posses some knowledge about places, career and world events.
7. He should never acclaim that he is the best.
8. Any astrologer who tells you that he can change your fate is lying.
9. Any astrologer using kaalsarpa dosha or manglik dosha as a tool for threat is also a liar.
10. Many astrologers tend to give you wrong predictions related to death. It is a lie. They earn money through Mahamriyoonjay.
11. Any person suffering from “Sawari’ or so called “Chauki” is been possessed by spirits. His/her predictions will be baseless and selfish.
These are just the basics.

Hi Tona,
These questions are really critical and I am sure very few people would like to answer them as it requires immense knowledge to answer.
As far as Indian astrology is concerned, it is believed that it originated millions of years back (Yugas) when ancient sages provided some rules about the impact of planets on human beings on earth. The narrated these rules and principles to their disciples who later wrote and penned down. Though sages believed that ordinary human being should not be given such knowledge as it could be misused.
Because ancient sages and their disciples were considered to have lot of extra-ordinary powers. so sages did not write these principles rather they just told about it to their disciples, but still some disciples wrote these and then the written knowledge about astrology kept on passing from generations to generations ( it is rather incredible that when no printing technology was available even 500 years back, then how this body knowledge still kept on passing in a written manner through millions of years).
It is also believed by some historians and scholars that some emperors and rulers in India also destroyed some of the manuscripts which were part of legacy of some people which they inherited from their forefathers over hundreds of thousands of years.
Your rest of the questions should be answered by some learned astrologers who have more profound knowledge on this subject.
Hello Mohit and Tona,
The divine knowledge is incomprehensible for people who do not have clean hearts. No matter what people say about it or express about it, the truth gets revealed to the truthful hearts only. So even if we share a crude diamond with a layman, he will never know about its true power. Only, an expert gemologist will reveal the true nature of a crude stone.
Alok
Sri Alok,
Is it possible to know how astrology originated in different parts of the world and all other questions/aspects which Tona asked? Do we have such text some where available?
Yes, please read the “Bhartiya Jyotish” written by Nemichand Shastri. It will give you complete details about the same.
Sri Alok,
You have mentioned that astrology is a two way process and only a clean heart will get the answer. What does it mean? If a person is approaching you with some questions, how his clean heart will affect your judgement about the horoscope.
Now whether he has been into some kind of small wrong-doings in his life, he might have lied occasionally or might have done some acts of dishonesty which all ordinary human-beings do in the course of normal life , small or big, and he approached you for astrological questions and you don’t know his past or anything about him, then how will you find out that he does not have a clean heart or have malice. How will you determine and draw that kind of judgement? And since you are also a human-being so you can also here commit some mistake in judging a person, when you snub away a humble and gentle person with good conscience. Because nobody can always be right in his judgement ( for e.g. Psychology has a concept called halo-effect in which people can make use of one feature or characteristic to have judgement about the person which is a faulty way to understand the personality)
Secondly you say that you are unable to help people who drink, since you seem to be having people all over the world taking your services( i think so based on the blogs comments etc), and lot of people belong to colder regions of the world where they drink also, so then how do you deal with such people? Do you refuse to provide services just because drinking is a part of the lifestyle which they have? Do they not deserve astrological guidance then? and they can not get ever right astrological guidance due to this ?
Usually normal human beings have some faults or limitations which people called vices, and all human-beings have some vices, so that means they can never get astrological guidance unless they become Saint like personalities? So do you call such normal human tendencies as vices and refuse to help astrologically or here you want to refer to some bigger and real obnoxious habits harmful for society and self ( drug-abuse etc).
Sorry for the belated reply Mohit,

Sri Alok,
Still waiting fr your answer on previous questions.
Another important questions which quite relevant :
Can you as an astrologer tell us when our country will be free from Terrorism and related issues?
Is it possible to reflect on such issues? Because it is affecting life of people in our country and astrology should have some insights into his as well.

Sri Alok,
Thanks for your detailed answers. yes I need more exposure because I am just 28.
What is Intuition? Is it our inner voice which we hear sometimes when we are about to make a decision big or small or is it something only people doing lot of worships can feel. Isn’t it possible that sometimes we take wrong decisions even if we feel it was right at that time. Does it mean that our hunches can be right or wrong also? What can we do to improve our intuition so that our decision will prove right later on as well?
Again a very good question,
Intuition is a inner voice but it is very deceptive. If your mind is sharp then you need to differentiate between intuitions and thoughts generated by your mind. Mind can temper your judgement. Animals who possess very slow brain have strong intuitions. Meditation improves intuitions. Some sadhnas also do the same, but they cannot be performed easily. They require long dedication.
No, there is nothing wrong in being young. Exposure is dependent on experience. Do not fall in the trap of age. Try to expose yourself to different things. You know, I went to Kedarnath when I was in class eleventh. It was a great experience.
i have been reading stuff about astrology, and then when i was playing a board game with some of my friends, a question about numerology came up. it was about adding your birth year, month and day together to make your “life path.” i was curious to see what it means…so what is it?
mine is 2013, and my friend’s is 2009, we did the math to ours, now we just want to know what it is…she was curious also:)
thanks beach bum:) that was what i was looking for…and i obviously don’t know much about numerology, i was just curious about the lifepath.
okay: 6/12/1995= 6+1+2+1+9+9+5=33 (3+3)= 6…i think i did it right.
you said #6 is “home and hearth”
could you explain that? (i don’t know much about numerology, just was curious…and i am only 13 on top of that)
thanks again 😀
Sorry Tamie, I am not an expert in numerology so I cannot answer the same. Regards. Alok.

With respect to a person’s horoscope, what is Ishta dev and what is the significance of Ishta dev in person’s life?
Ishtha devta is the deity you worship or adore. He/she prevent mishaps which is dependent on the intensity of your Japam and meditation. Astrologically I do not believe that the combinations work. You cannot tell an African person to worship Sri Hari because of the placement of his planets. Ishtha is like a belief system rather then just a deity. So do follow your faith.
i know what the planets are, i learned in elementary school, but in astrology i have no idea what each one means, nor the significance of houses and degrees and all those terms. anyone feel like explaining?
my sun sign is sagittarius, but i dont know what time i was born so i dont have the rest ot my chart. all i know is that jupiter is about luck.
oh, and what do ascending, moon, etc. signs mean?
“Astrologically I do not believe that the combinations work. You cannot tell an African person to worship Sri Hari because of the placement of his planets. Ishtha is like a belief system rather then just a deity. So do follow your faith.”
As far as I have observed, Indian astrology is based on Hindu religion and interpretation of chart as well as remedies are also based on hindu dharma. For example, during sade sati, we need to go to shani mandir and donate mustard oil. Even the different planets are said to be governed by Hindu religion’s gods and devi-devatas.
Does it imply that for hindus a different astrology exists and for other religions and other ethnic populations different astrological principles exists. What our shastras have to say about it and why do we find that shastras mentioned astrology and its rules, principles etc. keeping in mind Hindu dharma?
No Mohit, astrology is a universal science. It is not just a Hindu thing. Going to shani temple is less important in consideration to service or donation of iron or black til. Planets are governed by different kind of powers. For example Rahu denotes Bhairav and Devi but it also denotes Nishaan Sahib in Gurudwaras and mosques. It is wrong assumption that only hindu devatas have relation with planets. Something which governs everybody, cannot be that pathetic as governed by some special caste or creed.
I hope the answer is clear in first statement. Shastras are based on universal knowledge specially Upanishads. “Puranas” are modified articles and cannot be trusted. Anything which deviates you from universal brotherhood and love cannot be “Gyana” my friend.
Does it mean that all the hindu mythological anecdotes about planets are all ‘just stories’. For example, shani can not harm or do not bother much devotees of hanumanji or devotees of Shiva; People who recite Sundarkand are said to be free from many such astrological or planet related malefic-effects, especially Shani.
Are these all myths or shastras have provided sanction to such principles? If yes, then it would mean orientation of astrology has been hinduism. In shastras, cow is a sacred animal astrological speaking as service to cow is said to improve Brihaspati graha, but cow in other religions might not be treated as sacred ( rather used as food…).
What upanishads have to say about such religious practices which have astrological connections also , where in one religion cow is so sacred and in other it is not. What universality do we find in such things across religions and cultures in the world.? And what is universal knowledge Upanishads provide about such aspects.(for e.g. Is cow a pious animal as per astrology or not)
They have deep hidden meanings inside which cannot be understood normally. For example, Devraj Indra represents Indriya of humans. The trinity represents the trigunas. The stories as you know are just stories. Yes, you are right, religion has nothing to do with astrology Mohit. Pandits befool people specially with false ideas generated by books like Lal kitab and half learned people.
As far as animals are concerned, all of them even snakes are sacred in Hinduism. This was done to develop a feeling of Ahimsa by developing fear in the state of mind. It does not matter what is sacred or not, everything is Maya in Hindu philosophy. Avadhootas like Sant Bamakhepa’s life is a live proof that what you see does not matter. Perception is sensory and not soul based. Something which is soul based has nothing to do with ordinary understanding of Jeevas.
Every animal is Pious according to my view and upanishads do not say anything about the matter. So Mohit, read about saints and their life and you will get to know more.
So these anecdotes are just stories and astrology is said to be part of veadas, Veadas were created as words of rishis and they practices Hinduism and worshipper of narayan bhagwan ( Brahma, vishnu and Mahesh). Does it mean our epics Ramayana and Mahabharata are also just stories?
Does it mean that all those yugas dwapar, treta etc. are also just stories? If everything and all these anecdotes are stories then how astrology can be different? Because whole astrology seems to be based on such premises which are reflected by anecdotes.
Isn’t it correct that as per hindu shastras we have a term called ‘Malechhas’ ( and you might know who it refer to and for the sake of neutrality I don’t want to be explicit here). Is that also wrong per your opinion and no such terms should have sanction from shastras?
Here the question arises when did Indian astrology came into being and how it got originated, please tell us briefly? Who mandated or rather established rules of operating principles of planets? Were they not Rishis? Did it happen before other religions came into being? If yes that would mean, hinduism came into being first millions of years back and hence astrology also originated and thats the reason we have so many astrology related anecdotes related to devi-devatas.
Do we have other religions besides hinduism which talk in detail about astrology? I have never heard that other religions have their scriptures which are like hindu shastras narrating about astrology. Then how can we say astrology is Universal phenomenon.
Everything is not a story Mohit. Ramayana and Mahabharat are not stories. But if you tell me that Satyanarayan Bhagwan is not a story, then I will not believe you. You read it. It looks like a thriller meant for creating fear psychosis.
Now this is a funny statement. I told you everything is not a story. Your questions are very kiddish. Astrology is not dependent on these legends. It is not mentioned anywhere.
Astrology originated in vedic yuga. It is considered to be a Daiva Vidhya and rishis were the original producers. That is the very reason nadis are named after several rishis, like Agastyar Nadi etc. Religion is a different matter. Hindu is not a religion my dear friend. This may sound amusing to some leftists political parties but definitely Hinduism is a life philosophy. The matter of religion kills the truth called wisdom. Astrolgy is pure wisdom and it cannot be bounded by restricted ideas of caste culture or religion. You are asking same questions in different patterns. You need to read things to understand certain things. Read “Wandering among the Himalayan saints by Swami Rama. It will clear your doubts.
My DOB is August 31,1985 and I was born on the east coast in High Point, NC from what I remember being told at 2:33 pm. What if I dont like my personality. For example can someone who is an extremely shy virgo become an extremely outgoing virgo, or is that just not natural and I am predetermined to always be shy and quiet.
I heard that after 25, Venus(deb./Enemy) change and doesn’t give its bad effects espl. to those whose Venus is Laganlord.
I know my fellow astrology believers will help me out, because I think I may be receiving some typical scorpio behavior!
I was dating him for a few weeks back in March. Things started to get serious pretty quickly, which he admitted to me that it scared him, because he felt so strongly(?) So, we both backed off, but remained cordial. Well, he’s been back to his flirty scorpio ways. Teasing me all the time, asking me to come visit him at work, asking me to meet him out for drinks, etc… Last week, we were leaving the same bar, and “his car wouldn’t start.” So, he says “looks like you’re taking me home!” Well, he invited me in, and we behaved… for about 15 minutes! We were watching tv, and he got VERY cuddly with me, asked if he could hold my hand, and nuzzled in my neck, and one thing led to another… that’s when he gets WEIRD. He gets nervous and frustrated. Are his feelings that strong that he gets wrapped up in them? I’m a Cancer (with Virgo rising and moon in Libra).
He has told me that he is “very comfortable” with me, and he doesn’t know why. He also told me that I was beautiful, nice, and pretty much “exactly what he wants.” Do scorpios really shy away from their strong feelings that much?
I am looking forward to job change & expecting taking up my new role in next few weeks. What the stars say about job change? Should I continue in my current job or switch to new job?

There was only a vedic kaal, not a vedic yuga. ( Yugas are Satya yug, Treta yug, Dwapar and Kali yuga)
You may call Hinduism by different names ( a philosophy or whatever), but I and most of the people refer to the Hinduism as we know or what is prevalent. That would be a different aspect altogether what is Hinduism. I am not going there but my point is different.
I wanted to make the point that Vedic astrology or Hindu astrology or shastras astrology seems to be closely related with hindu practices ( for example like devi devata worshipping is suggested to appease planets); whereas other religions do not have such factors. They do not talk about astrology at all. At least I have not heard the in christanity, holy Bible is referring to planets and astrology as we find in hindu dharma ( whatever you may call it).
On your website it self, we find sri laxmi yantra, which is supposed to give prosperity and wealth as per its known benefits. That is also coming from Hindu dharma practices, where Laxmiji is worshipped as goddess of wealth and prosperity. That further corroborates the point that lot of astrological aspects have strong links with hindu dharma practices. Other religions might not have such practices.
May be you are mixing western astrology with Indian astrology and using a mix of both for your clients as your clients are from all over the world. And hence you are promulgating the notion that astrology is a universal phenomena and independent of religion. Which is aligned with your notion, but if we talk of Indian astrology it is deriving or emanating out of our religion and it has strong connotations of religion.
Thanks
Do not be obsessed with words Mohit. Try to understand the inherent meaning. Be flexible otherwise learning will become difficult.
I am not calling Hinduism with different names.A religion is a particular idea which has its origin in some great soul or person. In hindu system there are no such single guides as Jesus or Hazrat Sahib. It is a complex system with several system. So it is definitely not a proper religion. You have Afghani mix, sindhis, punjabis, dravidians and aryans as Hindus. They are not a single community.
Every shastra has not direct relation to Hinduism. Puranas talk about them and not Upanishadas. Please read. You are repeating everything..Proper astrology books do not talk about any devi devatas. I am telling you again this is Mumbo Jumbo of pandits and astrologer. Nothing to do with astrology. Other religions have such practices and factors. You can find references in ancient paganism and customs of jews. You will see that Mexicans and Chinese also appease Pitras as we do. Please read. Astrology is talked about in most of the religions. Read this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christianity_and_astrology. Mohit, you are not reading..you need to study.
I am not mixing anything with anything dear. I do not worry about my clients as well. I tell them to follow what I am been guided to tell them. Astrology is a universal phenomenon. Astrologers who understand this and have read the actual ancient texts of astrology know about it. It is so called pandits and TV astrologers who have created this disastrous mess. You have to understand religion first, to match that same with the divine knowledge of astrology.
Sri Alok
Thanks for the reply.
Surely I will read more But I see that one segment which I wrote in my original comment is missing . It was about availability of Sri Laxmi yantra on your website itself. Laxmiji is a goddess of wealth and prosperity as per hindu dharma and sri laxmi yantra is used for increasing prosperity and wealth as an astrological remedy. Which again indicates how astrology relates to hindu dharma god/goddess.
Thanks
Sri Laxmi Yantra is not available on my website. I have wrote about using the same for prosperity. Mahalaxmi is the goddess of wealth, it is true. The remedy of worshiping the same is a general remedy. It is not only astrology in which we recommend the same. If we talk about foreigners I cannot tell them to worship goddess Laxmi for wealth. It is a general remedy for people who have knowledge of Hindu religion but again it has no direct link to astrology. Lastly, it is the service to the mankind which is more important than all these pooja paths. You cannot alter your destiny just by following some ritual. Whatever comes back to you is what you offer to this world.

Sri Alok,
I have come across a very interesting piece of astro discussion on a site of some astrologer ( one of my friend refereed to this site); Following explanation is about whether the Planet Rahu is actually a physical body or a just a shadow:-
Comment 1 from astrologer:-
{{{ rahu ketu are not considered as nodes of moon …. this is wrong perception , rahu ketu are part of navagraha graha is what has been attributed to these bodies ………… other aprakash grahas are different like paridhi chaap etc ……………
Rahu rises intermittently and has vakra gati and its dimension is very less to be visible ……….. if eclipse were to be formed by shadows , reddish hue that appears in the sky cannot be obtained by shadows ….. and more importantly partial invisbility of objects cannot happen due to shadows ………….. yes physical objects can cause partial invisibility by physical block ……}}}}
Question by a reader:-
{{{{ acc to modern science eclipse occurs due to shadows of either earth on moon / vice versa.. on the other hand astrology says it is due to rahu swallowing the sun/moon can you please clarify on this.. plz forgive me if the is question is stupid}}}}
Answer by the astrologer:-
{{{oF COURSE IT IS stupid ,
On one hand shadws are formed by objects in line of sight to source of light , are shadows formed with other objects in between ? Can anyone with guarantee say that there are no objects in between earth sun and moon , can this condition exist all through moons traversing ……….. this assumption seems atishayokti ..
if there are other objects then why do these objects do not cast shadows and cause eclipse of sun or moon ………….
there is actually a rahu which is 40 yojan in dimensions and comes in the way of sun …………….}}}
Comment by the astrologer:-
{{{ lets take discussion little forward ………
they say earth/moons’ shadow causes eclipse ,,,
moon itself is a source of light !
imagine a source of light [ a huge bulb ] behind you . and a small bulb in front of you …
if your shadow falls on this small bulb , will the bulb be visible or invisible ?}}}}
Comment from the astrologer:-
{{{
ok let us modify the discussion , theres a huge illuminated bulb behind you , and a mirror before you , mirrors reflects light from huge bulb behind too. Now if your shadow falls on the mirror partially and some light fall on the mirror from source behind too , can you prove mirror will be partially visible ,
As far as my experience goes even if small light falls on the mirror , whole mirror is visible and entire room also illuminates and at the same time our shadow is also dimmed ……….. we see mirror clearly even though our body obstructs the source of light ……
If we are flying in aircraft over an ocean , in mid day , clouds get reflected by sun onto the ocean , and they seem like small beams of light moving , they dont make ocean [ a reflecting surface ] partially invisible ………. on the other hand ocean is visible even in partial light ………… so partial eclipse due to shadow cannot be explained …
On the other hand even a small dark cloud if it obstructs physically there will be darkness , partially if it obstructs then sun is visible partially .. so Rahu as a object can only obstruct such sun and moon …………. shadows cannot cause loss of visibility , how in the name of science illogical issues can be accepted …………
If moon were to give borrowed light then atmosphere all through between sun and moon should get illuminated during night and we must see a band of light but contrarily we see only moon and total darkness around it as night …………}}}
Now this is very interesting and intriguing explanation sri Alok, can you also please put up your thoughts on this issue.
It is really funny to assume that such commentators should be called astrologers. The argument over here is just for the sake of argument. There is a strong lack of evidence over here. Suryasidhhanta says:
Grahan naam grasikaranvadashadanam, tatra chandrasyachayachadnam bhuchayakritam, suryasya chandrakritmachadnam bhavati. .
Yathah suryasiddhante
The same is concluded by Varahmihhiracharya. Bhaskaracharya has condemned “Puranas” for saying that rahu eats away or engulfs sun or Moon. The same is backed by Grear Varah. They have defined the structure and “Vyasa” or Rahu. But this was not about the physical structure. The astrologer’s comments are not only wrong but they are really funny. He is saying that shadows cast eclipses. While the above sholkas clearly states that the cause of eclipses is not Rahu or Ketu. This is what happens when you do not study well and just comment about things. That was the very reason I condemned Puranas. They are modified versions of “Upanishadas”. They often misguide people.

The commentator or astrologer is saying that Rahu is actually a physical body and causes eclipse.
I don’t understand how do we trust anybody here, which is trustworthy and which is not. You can also take a look at this website chiraan.wordpress.com.
I know about him. His statement can only be held right if he is above Bhaskaracharya or Varahmihira. I have given you proof of statements. True knowledge is hidden in ancient shastras. Do not trust me or others because we can argue very well. Just study the shastras and truth itself will be revealed to you.
Are upanishads available in hindi translation as well? I guess original would be only in sanskrit.
Are they available in market for study? ( please tell us about the publisher etc. for reference)
Thanks
Yes there are many upanishads with Tika as well. Please search amazon.in, archive.org and scribd.com for the same.
