This Jaimini gotra shadow is also called svarabhānu because it carries a splendour of radiance which has the power to engulf the most powerful sun. It carries karma in compressed format that releases debts with whole force and mostly gives pain, separation and isolation.

It is a vortex that rotates outwards and hence carries the power to release individuals from the grip of Maya. It detaches one from everything and creates a feeling to renounce the world. It is the connection point between dimensions and creates loss to create realization and because of this connection an individual with powerful ketu can see existing dimension with a whole new perspective. The playground of Maya appears as graveyard to him/her where everyone is subject to karma.

When Venus is very strong in chart Ketu will take a hell of a test, because you cannot sit on the throne without being eligible for the same. Here Ketu becomes a strict examiner and does everything so that you do not lose your mind once you receive the richness of Venus. It becomes more aggressive when Ketu sits next to Venus. Venus gives you many things and then Ketu takes it away. Everything you cherish or desire will be taken away by ketu to teach you the mortality of affection. The seven year span is like each year with chakra bhedana. Shad chakras get bhedana during six years with the seventh year of liberation. That is why the end of Ketu daśa sometimes shows good results.

In ṇakśatra

It rules three ganḍamūla ṇakśatra which is not a coincidence. All gandānt ṇakśatras are ruled by Mercury. The serpent is coiled in ganḍamūla ready to release energy of dharma (1, 5, and 9) which you only learn when you shun the knowledge of Mercury. It is the minute point between moksha rāśi (4, 8, and 12) and then the understanding of real dharma arises. This means books will never give you liberation. This also means that real dharma can only be understood after renouncing Maya.

Ketu is the ḍakśina lunar node and hence is related to right side of vidhya and when connected to a planet it releases the positive side of that planet.

Ketu is a karaka or indicator of intelligence, wisdom, non-attachment, fantasy, penetrating insight, derangement, and psychic abilities. When it is good then Ketu is believed to bring prosperity to the devotee’s family, removes the effects of snakebite and illness arising out of poisons.

While people fear it, Ketu is an examiner that should be loved for its work. The purity it gives can never be achieved without these tests. When it sits in Aries, the head is afflicted with feeling of renunciation in case Mars forms a vairagya yoga. In Taurus it shuns the material benefits and wealth and can force a person to live away from family. If Venus is involved with Saturn (In a male chart in Saturian sign) and ketu sits in Taurus then the male either never gets married or losses hopes of getting married. This is strong when Seventh lord also carries aspect of Saturn.

When occupying Mercury, it leads to eccentricity in speech and an aversion for lust especially when Venus is weak. When in Karka it is happy because it gets a bigger playground for work. It makes a person sensitive and creates problems with Mother when moon is afflicted. In Leo it shuns all brightness and positive attitude and relations with father are strained if Sun is afflicted.

When Ketu is extremely strong in chart nothing in the world will ever have a value for the person. It is like the udāsīna sampradāya having indifferent or passive relation to Maya. It helps you understand Maya in every format.
