Most of us who delve into the spiritual realms have seen the uncountable level of sufferings and trauma one has to bear. It is not universal but it does happen at a mass level. The interesting part is the successive level of events, that keeps beating the goodness inside us. The question that is often asked is why this happens and why in such a brutal manner and the most important why so frequently. Let me answer that with my scanty knowledge:

🦜 First things first, It happens with real sādhaka only. It is also similar to effects been produced by negative elements in life. So, one needs to differentiate the one from other and obviously one who is suffering can never do it, because his/her mind is not at a level to understand the root cause.

🦜 There will be regular tests. You will get positions to generate money while cheating others, lusty encounters to deprive you off your path, opportunities where you can harm your opponents, abundance of wrongful money when you are at the bottom of poverty. When your soul falls to vices the brahmin leaves you at that very moment. You become wealthy, rich and filthy. A bhraṣṭa sādhaka in reality.

🦜 When you do sādhana or when you meet a spiritually elevated person or when you become important in the eyes of a deity, the results of karmas generated by you get intensified. This is generated by Ketu and Rahu both and it happens because the para brahmana wants us to relieve ourself from bondage. The first thing he has to do is to reduce our karmic bondage and the first thing we face is the plethora of worst happenings in life.

🦜 The intensity and successive level of sufferings indicates the way God is working on us. It also indicates the level of karmic debts we have. So when it is happening, we need to be patient.

🦜 The sadhak never dies, always escapes at the last moment, always get some divine help and there is always an invisible help. Any planet related to iṣṭha devatā will generate this effect. The planet who is very good, exalted, strong will have bad daśa in general (only for sadhak). The exact opposite of what is written in granthas. There will be lack of material benefits and abundance of spiritual encounters. However, you will get money when needed. My bank accounts have received monthly deposits from unknown people whenever I was in trouble. I have received currency notes kept in pockets, drawers and that too when I was sure it was not there a moment before.

🦜 When you get elevated, the bad effects disappear. However, God makes sure that you are deprived of enjoyment. You become meditative and despite of getting everything in life materially or otherwise, you will not be able to enjoy it. It will become meaningless for you.

🦜 Some physical symptoms include jolts during sādhana, trance situation, knowing everything about others, being happy in every moment, lack of enmity, proud, jealousy, lust and most of the sins. You see God everywhere and do what he says or whatever he tell you to do. You become nobody in reality.

🦜 The exalted planets, atmakāraka and amātyakāraka will give bad results despite of being good in chart. Any material benefits will vanish. Rahu in fifth and Ketu in eleventh or vice a versa can intensify the situation to maximum so to reduce debts. Ketu does it in a very bad way. Rahu sets the traps and hallucinations.

🦜 Strong sixth lord will cause years of tapasyā and sufferings because we have to give back much to the world. Remedies will not work on the person because he belongs to God.
