During the ancient period there used to be courtiers and jokers in the palace of the kings. Those people have to attend the court and they were engaged in King’s entertainment. In ancient history courtiers are often depicted as insincere, skilled at flattery and intrigue, ambitious and lacking regard for the national interest. They were the least paid employees. Finances rolled in for those who were brave, true and valorous. (At least in the some of the kingdoms). Now come to the present day. Kings turned to politicians and jokers and courtiers turned to actors and players. Most of them get sold in movies, operas or IPL. Consider the amount they get for their paid acting and compare it to a farmer working in the fields. Entertainment has become more precious than the food we consume. A player became a millionaire overnight and farmers work day and night just to produce and feed those million mouths in our country. Do they really get paid like them?. Yeah, I understand, there is a lack of glamor amongst the soldiers dying of frost bites in the sub-zero atmospheres of Siachin, there is a lack of glamour amongst the true people placed in remotest areas of our country helping others out. But do you really think that they do not deserve anything. Are we really independent mentally? Or we are still bounded by the idiotic assumptions that the actors depict their real life.
