House pests
Killing house pests and “Ahimsa”. A dialogue between me and Neelima Ji ( She is very good astrologer, but she does not practise it as professional astrologer.)
I really cherished your explanation and your idea about Karma from Shri Bhagwad Gita. This question tormented me as well. As a human being we come in contact with every “Jeeva’ and ‘atma’. Some of them act according to what their chitta demands. In such actions, some of them get counter reactions as well. Earlier, I always felt guilty when I used insecticides or repellents at my home. Later on, I saw something that changed my idea of Dharma. As a Grahasth it is our Dharma to keep our home safe from pests and insects. I adhered to this thought.
But still before doing so, the feeling of guilt rests deep down some corner of my brain. So I often pray to thakurji and tell him to provide me a home where I can avoid such confrontation. I think he listens to it most of time.
But you know, I work mostly according to my chitta. I strongly believe that your ‘Atma’ is your Brahma. What you do ;( When you are clean) is what; which is been guided by the Supreme soul. So once, I bare-handed caught a mother bee which was hovering in my office from quite some time. According to its Chitta, it gave me a strong sting. I could feel that strong burning sensation on my thumb, but this did not dampen my hope. I left it out of my office. It was set free and I felt good.
I did it as I felt I was guided. I could have acted the other way round if I was told.
“Yogshemam Vahamayam” does cater to everything. If we remove the Yogashemam part the rest renders a complete “Vehan” to whatever we do when Param Tatwa guides us. Our Chitta and Vritti should get devoid of “Rin” and “Vridhhi” or “Pap” and “Punya”. There is only karma, if he guides us. There is no resultant output. Sometimes, his name is enough to drains me off all my ideas for Papa and Punya.
