Sri Gaṇapati is ādhāraśakti or the seed of all prayers. Invoking the chief deity without invoking him is like launching a helicopter without rotor blades. You cannot reach the last stair by jumping over the basic ones. You will have a head on Collison with stairs.

In ṭantra (in advaita Siddhānta) vandanatraya involves Sri Ganesh, Sri Parameśvara and then the Guru. Here Sri Ganesh is worshipped at mooladhār. The reason is that Sri Ganesh initiates the ādhāraśakti. Without invoking him you cannot lift the śakti in spine. So devī worship starts with invocation of Sri Ganesh.

There are few more secrets to Sri Ganesh sevā.

🦜 Sri Ganesa dispels negative entities on invocation. This is important for devotee as they create problems during important sevā. That is why he is called vighnahartā.

🦜 He is the deity who is the closest and easily approachable. What you need, are not the complex mantras, but to visualize him with beeja गं and you can feel his presence.

🦜He is the seed for all sevā. You cannot sow a crop without the seed.

🦜He the ṃoola deity for Jyotiśa. A jyotiśa should first invoke Sri Gaṇapatī before any analysis. Reading a chart without invoking him, is like ignoring the lagna and analysing the whole chart.

 🦜There are thirty two forms of Gaṇapatī. This depends on types of śakti and his own types. The primary deity is Mahāgaṇapatī. He is invoked only when he is the chief deity of pooja.

 🦜The trunk of Lord Ganesa (his own facing) is turned to left mostly. The idols with right curve of the trunk are not meant for ordinary Pooja. Special care and rituals are required to worship this idol. Usually Sri Gaṇapatī is easily invoked if done with pure heart but in this ritualistic demands of aśauca are strictly adhered to.

🦜Sri Ganesa is not offered red Kumakuma. He is always worshipped with male Kumakuma or orange sindūra in North especially in old temples. However in some parts of India red sindūra is offered as well.

🦜The students should first invoke Sri Gaṇapatī during studies, this helps in concentration and improves concentration.
