Cheating, Jyotiśa Gemstones and Reality
🦜 Cheating, Jyotiśa Gemstones and Reality
The murky area of jyotiśa gemstones is flooded with baseless theories and false practise. Here is what the sastras say about this. (Ṃanimala, Yuktikalpataru, Vrihad Sahinta, ratnā pariksa etc.)
🦜 All gemstones are not jyotiśa stones
🦜The nine primary and their semi-precious counterparts are jyotiśa gemstones.
🦜Opal, white sapphire, quartz cat’s eye, firoza etc. are not jyotiśa stones.
🦜 Gems for planets which are benefic but weak are recommended. The horoscope needs complete analysis for finding out the best stones. Gems based on ascendant and fluke work never works in jyotiśa.
🦜 Planets which are not benefic or which are malefic in any way should always be appeased with mantra and auśaddhi
🦜 I have seen palmists, numerologists, tarot readers recommending gemstones while they are actually making fool out of common people because you need in-depth analysis of chart to understand suitable gems.
🦜 Gemstones in market are cheap replicas like coral is waxed and dyed, emeralds are filled with resin, Sapphires are glass filled, ruby is glass filled, pearls are 99% cultured etc. However, these are just the basics, people get fake certificates, and there are many such labs in Delhi who sell these certificates at a minimum price.
🦜 Gemstones that come cheap are either replicas or treated gemstones with minimum value. One who cannot wear gemstones should go for semi-precious stones as described in scriptures. If one cannot even wear semi-precious then there are roots of planets, which can be worn as a substitute. All these are mentioned in books.
🦜 Gems taken out or mined on inauspicious Muhurta have ill affects despite of being good in luster and appearance. In “Ratnajati” chapter of Manimala, Sloka six reads “Stones originating on inauspicious days and at unlucky moments are not only void of any beneficial quality but are positively harmful”(Ratnajati Adhyaya, Sloka 6, Manimala)
🦜 A gem which is powerful and fulfils above criteria gets devoid of its power when the inheritor is an impure person. Please refer to the epic related to Syamantak mani.
