I was pondering upon the idea of forgiveness yesterday and it struck my mind. Why can’t we forgive people sometimes?. After a long trail which went through several philosophical ideas I realized that we cannot forgive people because we cannot forgive ourselves. For example, your close friend or someone dear has done something which was totally against the ideas you have in your mind or say someone lied to you about something. In this case, we are expecting something from someone dear to us. We cannot forgive ourselves because we expected something from somebody which actually never took place. But in reality, we are hurting ourselves for such wrong expectation. We are not forgiving ourselves for whatever we expected and in the process of retrospection we do not forgive others. So before you want to forgive others just try to forgive yourself.
Wise men or women do not try to change the world through words or preaching, they change the world through their own actions. Mother Teresa did not preached anything, her notions were there in her actions. So is the case with Mandela, Gandhi and other people. If you study their life closely, you will realize that they never preached, they just did good things.
Here and Now, I seek forgiveness from all my friends and dear ones. If I ever hurt somebody through my words or actions or anything of the sort, then I am really sorry. I know I do not attend calls sometimes and I do not talk to people, but that is because I am self-centred idiot, I also seek forgiveness because I am not too worldly in so many senses. I really love to live alone, so if in this process if I ever hurt somebody, then please forgive me. It is a humble request
