Sri Rama, Sri Jānakī / the illusion / Duḥkha or Rāvaṇa, How can Rāvaṇa abduct Jagadambā?
In Ramayana, (araṇyakāṇḍa) Sri Janaki longs for the deer with the golden skin. Why is it so that the prakṛti svarūpa, ādi śakti, Parāmbā who gave birth to the world of Maya gets enchanted by a māyāvī deer?
Obviously the mother of the universe can never get enchanted by a mere deer. After all she invented the illusion. So what is the meaning of this līlā?
See, Sri Janaki represent Īndriyas, Sri Rama is the Puruśa who goes out for searching the illusion of Īndriyas (Sri Janaki). And illusion is marīci, (The word itself means illusion).
Then comes Rāvaṇa (The meaning is crying, wailing or duḥkha) and capture the īndriyas (Ma Janaki). Can a mere person take away Jagadambā? Not even closely possible.
So the summary of the story is that if you do not want your Īndriyas (Jagadambā) to be captured by duḥkha (Rāvaṇa), try not to fall in the illusion (Marīci). Otherwise your body (Sri Rama) will leave your soul and you will keep wailing with Duḥkha (Rāvaṇa) in his golden laṃkā.
