The piece over here is a collector grade piece because of its intricate carving and fine details. It is hand crafted statue of Lord Ganesha fashioned from a handpicked crude stones brought from Australia. Our craftsmen at planetrymatrix did a very fine job with the piece. The stone is very clean, so much so that you can see the apex if you see it from bottom. It is 1587.50 carat or 317.50 Grams in weight.

This is the original, rare (Because it is eye clean) quartz crystal carving. Quartz is the colorless variety of Silicon Dioxide or SiO₂. It is Trigonal crystal system with a hardness of seven.

There is a vast difference between real crystal and the one sold in market as crystal. Crystal is considered to be an important stone since ancient times. It carries energies in it and was used by enchantress to see the future. In India crystal is associated to goddess of wealth and is known as “Sphatikam.” Crystal in its finest forms carries impurities and is sought by collectors when it is pure and transparent. Crystal however is often not the true variety and molten glass is sold as crystal. Glass is melted and casted in several forms and then sold under the name of crystal. 99% crystal sold in countries is actually glass or lead crystal. It can be distinguished by an expert eye but normally it requires a hardness test. Real crystal is often colder in touch.
